The Skirites were\nrenowned hardcore warriors in antiquity and chosen soldiers in the\nSpartan army. Dense forests cover the area and make up a truly dreamy\nlandscape due to the presence of many cherry and walnut trees (esp.\nin the spring in which they bloom and in autumn when the leaves take\non warm hues). Apart from the forests there is also a lot of water;\nFrom here flows the river Evrotas. The area\u2019s central village is\nVlachokerasia, the start and ending of our journey. The hike goes\nthrough dense forests, beside rivers and streams, and has adventure\nelements, as in some places there are fixed ropes for your aid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duration:<\/strong> 4
